IMAGINATION

We start the weekend with the quote from Napoleon Hill in his classic book, Think And Grow Rich, "Imagination is the most marvellous, miraculous, inconceivably powerful force that the world has ever known." He also said it is "the workshop of the mind".

It is the power of imagination that leads to every creation we have. Mary Morrissey said "everything is created twice - once in the mind and then in the physical world."(Forgive me for the numerous quotes)

Possibly the most famous artist of all time, Van Gogh was once asked how he did such beautiful paintings, and he said "I dream my painting and then I paint my dream."

Ideas are formed with the imagination - they are a force of their own - albeit an intangible force. But it is the power of this force that leads to the creation of all great things - great successes that were one day previously thought impossible.

Bob Proctor said, "Everything that has ever been accomplished by anyone was at first, and for a time, a fantasy." Think about it - the mobile phone, air travel and electricity - all of these were at a time just a figment of someone's imagination.

The Wright Brothers, who invented and flew the first airplane, consistently saw themselves flying in the air - and they kept that picture constantly before them - in their imagination. The strength of this picture and their imagination meant that this picture ultimately became reality( Check their story here http://weinspireng.blogspot.co.uk/2013/08/the-wright-brothers-story.html)

Thomas Edison, famous inventor summed it up when he said "If you can hold it in your head you can hold it in your hand."

Your mind is a place you can purposely go to. And FREE WILL is your passport. No one is ever refused entry. There are no borders or limits put on the size of what can be built. And best of all, it's a universal nation that allows all of us citizenry!

Just as the oak tree develops from the gene that lies within the acorn, and a bird develops from the gene that lies asleep in the egg, so too will your achievements grow from the organized plans that first begin with your imagination.

An image in your mind is the first stage of the creative process in life. From your imagination your visions and plans arise. Going back to Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill wrote, "You will never have a definite purpose in life; you will never have self-confidence; you will never have initiative and leadership unless you first create these qualities in your imagination and see yourself in possession of them.". Blessing Okagbare, Nigeria's silver medalist at the just concluded World Athletic Championship attributed her feats to the power of her mind. She ran the races first in her mind and in the 'real' world.

Now, let's use our imagination and start to build a picture. Build the picture of what you want. Commit to reaching new goals. The only barrier separating you from your goal is ignorance - ignorance of how simple... and simply powerful... your mind really is.Replace the ignorance with knowledge.
Bon weekend!
